✶ ECHO CHILDREN
⏎ Main
In the year 230X, on the musical planet Melodium, lifeforms sustain themselves by absorbing the rhythms and melodies that flow through the ground. Resonating with these sounds is as natural as breathing. But Dori and Navi are different. Since birth, they have been unable to sense rhythm. The world responded by quietly isolating them. One day, they discover a strange device among the space debris that had drifted to the planet’s outer edge. The moment they wear it, they feel Melodium’s energy for the very first time— and something even more extraordinary happens. They gain not only the ability to absorb rhythm, but also to transmit it. With this rare power, the two are sent on a mission to cleanse the dissonance seeping in from beyond their world.
On Melodium, all lifeforms exist without gender. The name Dori was inspired by the Korean word “Neoguri” for raccoon, and Navi was drawn from the Korean tradition of naming cats "Nabi," meaning butterfly.
