✶ THE MUSHROOM WORLD

⏎ Main

This world-building project began with the visual satisfaction I experience from watching food content every day. I became interested in how things that are not real food, or have unclear forms, can still appear appetizing and invite the imagination into their world. Expanding this sensation, I imagined a future after ecological collapse in which only mushrooms remain. This visual note serves as an investigative record of that world, reframing the relationship between humans and food as a relationship between humans and mushrooms.

As an extension of the project, I hosted a Mushroom Origami workshop. Participants folded mushroom forms using paper printed with food textures, creating objects that looked like mushrooms while visually referencing familiar foods.
